REAL WEDDINGS – SARAH AND MICHAEL

Something different was always going to be the focus of Sarah and Michael’s purple and black themed wedding. Sarah had a great vision of what she wanted right from the “Corpse Bride” themed wedding cake down to the eco friendly touch of a donation to World Vision in lieu of bombonnieres. Sarah’s stunning white wedding dress was intricately designed with hand sewn crystals and she teamed this gown with a gorgeous bouquet of white asiatic lillies and roses from Floral Edge.

The bridesmaids wore gorgeous aubergine purple in a design that matched the bride as well as matching bouquets. Sarah and Micheal were married in the picturesque surroundings of Laughton Park Gardens in Mount Gambier and a total of 100 guests joined them to celebrate at the Western Tavern for a sit down three course dinner and a taste of the wedding cake for dessert.

Matching aubergine crystal organza chair sashes and beautiful diamante brooches made the reception venue sparkle and Sarah’s love of “bling” came through with the addition of a Fantasia backdrop complete with fairly lights to accentuate the bridal table with mirrors and a crystal organza swag bridal skirting with diamante brooches to match.

Their quirky wedding cake created and designed by the extremely talented Mandy Lynn and assisted by Cheryl Clover was quite the feature! It was surrounded by tiny fairy lights and set off with a cake topper brought in from overseas. REAL WEDDINGS – NAOMI AND JAMES – A FRENCH INSPIRED VINTAGE GARDEN WEDDING

A romantic proposal in France set the scene for this recent French inspired vintage garden wedding held in the lovely surrounds of Katnook Estate winery in Coonawarra. Naomi was the most amazing bride to work with and had such a great vision of how she wanted her dream wedding to look

– from the miniature framed chalkboards written with French numbers  ‘une – quatre’ placed on the guest tables, to the vintage bottles, jars and vases saved over time showcasing beautiful David Austin roses,

Not forgetting the sweet tooth – a candy buffet was on offer

and vintage display tables boasting not only an old Valentine typewriter which entertained guests when they had to type messages for the bride and groom but a memory tree showcasing old family photos and would you believe – bus tickets from a bygone era!

This was one of the most stunning and spectacular weddings that Wedding & Event Management Services  has had the pleasure to work on and we were was thrilled to be a part of Naomi and James’ special day. NAOMI’S DREAM TEAM: Thank you to the wonderful  Jo Fincham Photography for some of these amazing photos, the bride’s stunning makeup was done by Andrea Rout (makeup artist), floral pedestal arrangements were designed by Di from Di’s Gifts and Flowers at Penola, the paddock to plate delicious menu was put together by The Barn Catering , the marquee and hire equipment was provided by Blue Lake Hire, and of course Wedding & Event Management Services for the setup and co-ordination. A big thank you to Roz Minion and Cheryl Clover for assisting me with this event. You guys are all amazing and a pleasure to work with.

And a huge thank you to Naomi and James and their families who I got to know and have a few laughs with on the day. Brian your building skills and home brew rock! I loved being a part of your special day.

1.What options does your venue offer?

We have three superb venues to choose from:

(a)    The Barn Steakhouse – which serves an a la carte menu and boasts the best steaks in the region. Set menus are available by arrangement.

(b)   The Oak Tree Room – an excellent new venue for meetings, conferences, private dinners, cocktail functions and intimate weddings. There is a wide choice of set menus on offer.

(c)    The Main Palais Room – available for conferences, weddings, district meetings, seminars, gala dinners and expos

2. What types of accommodation are available?

The Barn offers a multitude of luxury accommodation to suit everyone’s tastes and budget. There are self-contained apartments, garden view rooms, brand new deluxe king suites, some with spas and a four-bedroom house accommodating up to 10 people, all with stunning views.

3. What is the capacity range for each of your dining areas?

The Barn Steakhouse seats 100 people but can accommodate private functions for 40 – 50 people

The Palais Room seats from 80 – 800

And the new Oak Tree Room seats 65 banquet style, 95 – 100 theatre style and 30 in a U shape

4. What is your pricing for your venues?

The Oak Tree Room is $220 for a full day inclusive of plug and play AV equipment and water, mints, pens and pads for all delegates.

The Main Palais Room is negotiable dependant upon the event. There is ‘no hire fee for weddings’.

5. What else should brides and other prospective clients know about your venue?

The new piano bar is available to use for pre dinner drinks, the Oak Tree Room provides state of the art AV equipment, and the bride and groom are welcome to use our spectacular gardens for the photos and the wedding ceremony at no extra charge.

6. What makes your venue and packages unique?

For weddings with more than 100 guests we offer a complimentary night’s accommodation in our deluxe king suite to the bridal couple.
