A simple country wedding was the theme of Tina and Julian’s wedding. Kirsti & Aaron’s wedding was held at the beautiful Kalangadoo Estate Homestead which was once owned by Kirsti’s Mum’s Scottish ancestors when they first came out to Australia. It has been since sold and passed through owner to owner until coming back into their loving care. The gardens were breathtaking and provided a fantastic back drop for the marquee.
Kirsti and Aaron both lived in Melbourne and wanted a French blue theme throughout. Matching this theme Kirsti ordered material from France to cover her tables. Candles were set up throughout the picturesque gardens which provided a romantic glow into the evening. Dispensers of punch quenched the guests thirst on this very hot January day.
What astounded the guests was the gigantic four tier wedding cake made by local, Helen Strachan which boasted fresh hydrangeas and sat atop a family heirloom – an antique silver cake stand and our creative idea of a table seating plan etched onto a magnificent mirror steered guests in the right direction.
My dream team consisted of Blue Lake Hire for the marquee, Renniks Hire and Atlas Hire for the chivari chairs and champagne stands, Margie from Budz for the beautiful blue hydrangeas. My own hard working team of Cheryl, Carmen, Brittany and Alison were of course, amazing as always. Thank you for helping create the magic!
