Best Day Ever Wedding Festival!

I love getting the chance to meet suppliers and see some of the new products that they have on offer so it was an absolute treat to attend the Best Day Ever Wedding Festival recently, held in the Convention Centre in picturesque Adelaide. Amazing info for all brides. Everything from wedding venues to caterers, to photo booths, to floral stylists, to hair and beauty, wedding invitations, wedding dresses and cake decorators were all showing their goodies. REAL WEDDINGS – NAOMI AND JAMES – A FRENCH INSPIRED VINTAGE GARDEN WEDDING

A romantic proposal in France set the scene for this recent French inspired vintage garden wedding held in the lovely surrounds of Katnook Estate winery in Coonawarra. Naomi was the most amazing bride to work with and had such a great vision of how she wanted her dream wedding to look

– from the miniature framed chalkboards written with French numbers  ‘une – quatre’ placed on the guest tables, to the vintage bottles, jars and vases saved over time showcasing beautiful David Austin roses,

Not forgetting the sweet tooth – a candy buffet was on offer

and vintage display tables boasting not only an old Valentine typewriter which entertained guests when they had to type messages for the bride and groom but a memory tree showcasing old family photos and would you believe – bus tickets from a bygone era!

This was one of the most stunning and spectacular weddings that Wedding & Event Management Services  has had the pleasure to work on and we were was thrilled to be a part of Naomi and James’ special day. NAOMI’S DREAM TEAM: Thank you to the wonderful  Jo Fincham Photography for some of these amazing photos, the bride’s stunning makeup was done by Andrea Rout (makeup artist), floral pedestal arrangements were designed by Di from Di’s Gifts and Flowers at Penola, the paddock to plate delicious menu was put together by The Barn Catering , the marquee and hire equipment was provided by Blue Lake Hire, and of course Wedding & Event Management Services for the setup and co-ordination. A big thank you to Roz Minion and Cheryl Clover for assisting me with this event. You guys are all amazing and a pleasure to work with.

And a huge thank you to Naomi and James and their families who I got to know and have a few laughs with on the day. Brian your building skills and home brew rock! I loved being a part of your special day.

WEDDING COLOURS – LOOK NO FURTHER!

Are you having trouble choosing what colors you are going to use for your wedding? From bridesmaid dresses, table decor, lighting, flowers and so much more, it is such a big decision that affects all aspects of your wedding…I know!  Look no further. Certain colours have certain meanings so this information may help you make an informed decision on the perfect tone for your wedding day! Colours can evoke emotion and associate with certain meanings. Take a look…….

Pink represents compassion, nurturing, unconditional love and understanding. It is the most romantic, affectionate and intimate, thoughtful and caring. It tones down the physical passion of red replacing it with a gentle loving energy. Pink is intuitive and insightful, showing tenderness and kindness with its empathy and sensitivity. In colour psychology, pink is a sign of hope.

Orange is a combination of Red and Yellow. As bright and warm and inviting colour, orange relates to social communication, stimulating two way conversations. The colour psychology of orange is optimistic and uplifting, rejuvenating our spirit.  With its enthusiasm for life, the colour orange relates to adventure and risk-taking, inspiring physical confidence, competition and independence. Those inspired by orange are always on the go! In relation to the meaning of colours, orange is extroverted and uninhibited, often encouraging exhibitionism or, at the very least, showing-off!

Yellow is the brightest colour to the human eye. It represents youth, fun, happiness, sunshine and other light playful feelings. It is a cheerful energetic colour. Yellow will evokes feelings of happiness. The colour psychology of yellow is uplifting and illuminating, offering hope, happiness, cheerfulness and fun.

Green is the colour of balance and harmony. It represents growth, nature, fertility and renewal. Green is a relaxing colour that is easy on the eye and has a healing power to it. From a colour psychology perspective, it is the great balancer of the heart and the emotions, creating equilibrium between the head and the heart and relates to stability and endurance.

Blue is a cool calming colour that shows creativity and intelligence.  It is a colour of loyalty, strength, wisdom and trust. Blue has a calming effect on the psyche and seeks peace and tranquility. From a colour psychology perspective, blue is reliable and responsible. This colour exhibits an inner security and confidence.

Red is a very strong colour.  It’s a hot colour that is energising and evokes a powerful emotion of passion, lust, and energy. The colour meaning of red signifies a pioneering spirit and leadership qualities, promoting ambition and determination. Red is a good colour to use for accents that need to take notice over other colours.

Purple combines the stability of blue and the energy of red. Throughout history purple has been associated with royalty, nobility and prestige. It creates an impression  of luxury, wealth, extravagance and power. In the meaning of colours, purple represents the future, the imagination and dreams, while spiritually calming the emotions.

Black is often a colour used to portray something very powerful, class, elegance and wealth.  Black combined with other colours can have a very strong statement.  Black is a colour that can fit into almost every design to add contrast, type, and make the other colours stand out more. Alone, black wouldn’t be as dramatic but paired with any other colour in the correct fashion, it is bold, timeless and beautiful.
